The Department of Modern Languages at Wagner College will be screening five recent French films between October 23 and October 27, 2006 during their 2nd Tournees French Film Festival. All screenings will take place in the Spiro Communications Center, but specific room assignments vary. (see below)
The festival is made possible with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy and the French Ministry of Culture (CNC). The Tournees grant is also sponsored by The Florence Gould Foundation, the Grand Marnier Foundation and the Franco-American Cultural Fund.

FOX 5’s ROSANNA SCOTTO TO SPEAK AT DAVINCI SOCIETY AWARDS DINNER
Staten Island, New York – Rosanna Scotto, co-anchor of WNYW-TV “FOX 5 News at 5pm” and “FOX 5 News at 10pm,” will be the guest speaker at Wagner College’s DaVinci Society 3rd annual awards dinner on Thursday, September 28 at 6:00 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn, Bloomfield. An honoree at last year’s awards dinner, Eleanor Conforti is the chairperson of the event. Eleanor is a retired teacher with the City Department of Education and was a longtime chairperson of the former Community School Board 31.

THE BANALITY OF GOOD: Rescuers in Italy at the Time of Persecution
Staten Island, NY - Dr. Seymour P. Lachman, Distinguished Professor in Residence, Wagner College, will be hosting a program entitled, “The Banality of Good: Rescuers in Italy at the Time of Persecution,” on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, 7:00pm at The Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th Street, NYC. This event is co-sponsored by Wagner College, The Center for Jewish History, and The Consulate General of Italy. There will be a reception prior to the program at 6:00pm.
Urban analyst Joel Kotkin will speak on the future of cities at Wagner College's Grymes Hill campus on Wednesday.
The inaugural Kaufman-Repage Lecture at the college is open to the public.
