INTERNET SITE WILL ALLOW PUBLIC TO
TRACK CAMPAIGNS AND LOBBYING ACTIVITIES

As part of Wagner College’s celebration of Latino Heritage Month, the school’s Office of Co-Curricular Programs will present a musical poetry performance by Urayoan Noel on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. in the Coffeehouse.
Noel is the author of “Kool Logic / La Logica Kool” (Bilingual Press), a 2006 “books of the year” selection by El Nuevo Día, as well as two volumes of poetry in Spanish: the post-industrial object-book “Las Flores del Mall” (2000) and “Boringken,” which is forthcoming with spoken-word CD from Ediciones Callejón.
This Thursday, Oct. 4 at 4:30 p.m., come to the Wagner College Campus Hall Performance Center for “Italian Romanticism: The Poetry of Music,” a program of music sponsored by the DaVinci Society as part of its celebration of Italian Culture & Heritage Month. The concert will feature music by Verdi, Puccini, Paganini and Morlacchi, performed by flutist Georgette Ionesco and ensemble. Georgette Ionesco studied at the Conservatory of Music in Bucharest, where she received her master’s degree. She has performed with the Romanian Philharmonic, the Vienna Philharmonic and the Chamber Music Orchestra of the Israel Philharmonic. Presently she is president of the Staten Island Conservatory of Music and an adjunct music instructor at Wagner College. She is also president and CEO of the nonprofit Pro Musica Corporation.
