STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — On Wednesday, March 14, at 8 p.m., Gary Rosenblatt will speak at Wagner College. Rosenblatt is editor and publisher of the Jewish Week of New York, the largest Jewish newspaper in the United States.
Rosenblatt, a highly regarded journalist and keen observer of the Jewish scene, will be speaking on “Whither American Jewry: Renaissance or Disappearing?” Surveys finds that the American Jewish community is assimilating, while more American Jews than ever before are engaged in Jewish studies. Rosenblatt will look at which trend, if either, will prevail in the 21st century.
