The center was created to support the college’s civic engagement activities, which are central to both its curriculum and its role in the surrounding community. New tuition prepayment plan locks in rates for future useSTATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Wagner College, with approximately 2,200 students and a curriculum that unites the liberal arts with learning by doing, has become the 262nd institution to join the Independent 529 Plan, which allows parents to lock in tuition rates at less than present levels for their children’s future use. The Independent 529 Plan was launched in 2003 in a cooperative effort by a national group of private colleges and universities to help families manage the rising cost of higher education. Under the program, individuals can purchase tuition certificates for future redemption at any of the participating private colleges and universities, now including Wagner College. Conference July 19 on business in China, Russia and IndiaA conference on "Doing Business in China, Russia and India" will be sponsored by Wagner College's Center for International Business Strategic Studies. The conference will be held on Thursday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the NYU Midtown Center, 11 West 42nd Street, Suite 408, in Manhattan.
