On Thursday, Aug. 30, the Staten Island Advance AWE Readers Poll announced the results of a summer-long survey. Among those results, the Advance name Wagner College art professor Bill Murphy as Staten Island’s 2007 “Best Visual Artist.”
Here’s what the Advance had to say about Murphy:
On Sunday, Oct. 14, a student team from Wagner College will participate for the fifth consecutive year in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual “Walk for the Cure” at the College of Staten Island. The team will be led by education students from Wagner College’s Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development chapter and Kappa Delta Pi, the national education honor society. Their faculty advisor is Jennifer Lauria.
There are two ways you can help their effort: Join the Wagner team, or contribute money in their name to the “Walk for the Cure.”
