Election Day polling places, Voting Van schedule

Wagner College students who have registered to vote in New York State using their campus address will be able to cast their ballots at one of two polling places on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Students living in the residence halls on campus (Guild, Towers and Harborview), who registered to vote using either 1 Campus Rd. or 631 Howard Ave. as their address, will cast their ballots in the polling place at Concord High School. The entrance to the polling place is at 39 Steuben St. at Rhine Avenue.


October 23rd

New residence hall's name is Foundation Hall

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., Sept. 23, 2008 — Wagner College announced this afternoon that its newest residence hall will be named Foundation Hall in honor of the Richmond County [N.Y.] Savings Foundation, which has donated $5 million toward the cost of the building’s construction.

The foundation’s $5 million gift is the second-largest single contribution ever made to Wagner College, and the largest gift ever given to Wagner for the construction of a residence hall.

It is also the largest gift ever made by the Richmond County Savings Foundation.

Vote online for president in SGA mock election

Can't wait to cast your ballot in this year's presidential race? The Student Government Association has set up an online mock election site where Wagner College students, faculty and staff can pick between the two major candidates, John McCain and Barack Obama.

The mock election will run through Sunday, Nov. 2, and results will be announced on Monday, Nov. 3, at the end of the debate being sponsored by Omicron Delta Epsilon, the economics honor society. The debate will begin at 3 p.m. in Spiro Hall, Room 2.

Register to vote by Friday, Oct. 10. Here's how.

Haven't registered to vote yet? You have until Friday, Oct. 10 to mail your registration form in. If you live in the residence halls, you can register to vote in New York State using your campus mailing address. Download the voter registration form by clicking on THIS LINK.

Classes have been cancelled at Wagner College for Election Day, Nov. 4.
