An exhibition of figure sculpture will open in the Wagner Gallery of the Union Building on Thursday, Aug. 28. Exhibitors are students in a sculpting class that has been meeting each Saturday morning in the Main Hall ceramics studio for the past 5 years under the auspices of Wagner College's External Programs Department.
STATEN ISLAND, Aug. 25, 2008 — The UAU Capital Foundation, an arm of United Activities Unlimited, announced today in a press conference at Wagner College that it has given a grant of $10,000 to provide scholarships for the New Teacher Academy, a partnership of Wagner College and Columbia University’s Teachers College. Twenty new teachers will be eligible to receive $500 each, covering half of the $1,000 tuition for the Academy, which starts next month.
Charlie Siedenburg ’95, an Arts Administration graduate, has been named as the new director of public relations for New York’s Metropolitan Opera.
“In the arts administration world, it’s like starring on Broadway,” said Professor Gary Sullivan.
Siedenburg moves to the Met from the Milburn, New Jersey's renowned Papermill Playhouse.

Some 500 students participated in New Student Orientation beginning August 21. They moved into their residences, met with faculty, learned about the campus, its' traditions and various involvement opportunities, and had many opportunities to socialize from Bingo on the Oval to Casino Night.
