Columbia University classicist and Buddhist scholar Robert Thurman will speak at Wagner College on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Spiro 4. Thurman will be speaking about his newest book, “Why the Dalai Lama Matters.” The public is invited, and the lecture is free.

The Wagner College Student Government Association will hold its first Founders Day program on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. in Spiro Hall, Room 2. The entire campus community, as well as the general public, is cordially invited to attend.
Although classes at the new college probably began in September 1883, our Founders Day commemorates the official formation of Wagner College’s governing board on Oct. 15, 1883 in Rochester, N.Y. This year’s Founders Day program marks the 126th anniversary of that event.
