TONIGHT: Adriana Trigiani's new novel launches on campus

The Wagner College DaVinci Society invites you to join them on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. for the launch of international best-selling author Adriana Trigiani’s new novel, “Very Valentine.” Trigiani will be reading selections from her new book, answering audience questions and signing copies of “Very Valentine.” The event will be held in Wagner College’s Main Hall auditorium.

Author speaks on civil rights movement Feb. 9

    On Monday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m., Wagner College welcomes historian and author Wesley C. Hogan for a lecture in Spiro Hall, Room 4. Hogan will speak about her book, “Many Minds, One Heart: SNCC's Dream for a New America.” The lecture is free and open to the public.

NYC Council forum to focus on environment, Feb. 10

    Wagner College will host a forum on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Spiro 2 for the candidates running in the New York City Council’s 49th District election to succeed Congressman Michael McMahon. The event is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.

U.N. rep speaks on Europe's single-market economy Feb. 12

Maria Francesca Spatolisano, first counsellor for economic and financial affairs for the European Commission's delegation to the United Nations, will discuss the European Union's business environment during her appearance at Wagner College on Thursday, Feb. 12 starting at 6 p.m. in Spiro 2. A question-and-answer period and reception will follow her presentation. The program is free, and the public is invited.

Commedia dell'Arte theater reborn Feb. 13

    This Friday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m., the Wagner College Theater Department will host an evening of Commedia dell’Arte improvisational performances in the Gatehouse Lounge at Harborview Hall. The show is free, and the public is invited.

Astrophysicist lectures on 'wraparound universe' Feb. 17

    World-renowned astrophysicist Jean-Pierre Luminet will lecture at Wagner College on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m. in Spiro Hall, Room 4. His lecture is titled “The Shape of Space: From Black Holes to the Wraparound Universe.” The lecture is free, and the public is invited.

Sculpture exhibition runs through Feb. 27

    The work of Staten Island sculptor Judith Hugentobler will be on display in the Wagner College Gallery exhibition, “Primordial Debris: Sculpture and Mosaic,” through Feb. 27. Admission to the exhibition is free, and the public is invited.
    “Primordial Debris” features new sculptures of ceramic and glass, highlighting figurative form.
