Wagner nursing instructor wins Tunnel to Towers Run

Congratulations to Christine Pagano, RN, the top female runner in yesterday's eighth annual 3.1-mile Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run, coming in at 19:53. Pagano, a graduate of Wagner College's BS (2004) and MS (2009) nursing programs, is a clinical adjunct instructor in the Spiro School of Nursing. Pagano was a member of the Wagner College track team during her undergraduate years.

'Waiting for Lefty' opens Wagner Theatre season Sept. 30, runs through Oct. 10

Gallery show reception this Sunday

    A reception for artists Lazarus Nazario and Shawn Taylor is scheduled for this Sunday, Sept. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Wagner Union Atrium. The reception will close their exhibition, “Till Death Do Us Part,” which presents new paintings, drawings and mixed-media sculpture by the artists. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.

    Please join us at 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 26, as New York City Councilman Kenneth Mitchell unveils a new street sign renaming the portion of Howard Avenue passing through the Wagner College campus as “Lyle Guttu Way.” The street is being renamed to honor the late Rev.

P.A. student delivers babies in Ghana

    Robert Sullivan of Freehold, N.J., a fifth-year physician’s assistant student at Wagner College, spent five weeks this summer studying in Ghana, West Africa, to complete his infectious-disease rotation.

Theatre alum pens FringeNYC's Outstanding Play

Congratulations to playwright and Wagner College Theatre alum BUDDY THOMAS ’91, whose latest play, “Devil Boys from Beyond,” won the Outstanding Play award at this year’s New York International Fringe Festival.

    At 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, Sept. 26, New York City Councilman Kenneth Mitchell will unveil a new street sign renaming the portion of Howard Avenue passing through the Wagner College campus as “Lyle Guttu Way.” The street is being renamed to honor the late Rev.

Wagner College welcomes Jewish New Year

Wagner College Rabbi Abraham Unger sounds the traditional ram's horn, or shofar, to welcome the Jewish New Year in a pre-Rosh Hashanah service Friday afternoon, Sept. 18, in the Kairos House chapel.

Author lectures on 'Hope for a Heated Planet' Sept. 24

    Wagner College welcomes environmental scholar Robert K. Musil, who will speak about his book, “Hope for a Heated Planet: How Americans are Fighting Global Warming and Building a Better Future.” Musil’s lecture will be given on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 11:20 a.m. in Spiro Hall, Room 4. The lecture is free, and the public is welcome.
