Here’s a roundup of stories about Wagner College that have appeared in the news media in November and December 2010:
LIEBERMAN TO LEAD LA VERNE
Two members of Wagner College’s Moot Court team, seniors Jonathan Azzara and Kyla Knight, made it to the final rounds of the American Collegiate Moot Court Association’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament, held at Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Va., Nov. 12-13. This was the first time Wagner Moot Court competitors had made it into the finals.
The full Moot Court team consists of six students supported by faculty sponsor Douglas Haugen of the Department of Government & Politics.

WAGNER COLLEGE ENVISIONS BRIGHT FUTURE
By FRANK DONNELLY
Wagner College art professor Jenny Toth is presenting her own work this holiday season in three venues — one in Brooklyn, two in Manhattan.
Completely Student Productions, a Wagner College theatrical group run entirely by students (thus, the name), will stage two performances this weekend of Sarah Kane’s “4.48 Psychosis.” The performances will be staged this Friday and Saturday evening at 8 o’clock in the Gatehouse Lounge of Harbor View Hall.
FROM PRESIDENT RICHARD GUARASCI:
I write to tell you that our extraordinary provost, Dr. Devorah Lieberman, has accepted the position of president at the University of La Verne in eastern Los Angeles County, effective June 2011. Please join me in congratulating Devorah on her selection as the next leader of La Verne. Devorah surely will lead them to great success in the coming years.
Wagner College’s Foundation Hall has won two distinctions in the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce 49th Annual Building Awards Program: an Excellence Award for Exterior and Natural Beauty, and an Achievement Award for Interior and Interior Decorating. The awards were given at a special program on Friday, Dec. 3 at the Staten Island Hilton.
Theatrical Gems, a theater company started earlier this year by two recent Wagner College alums, will stage a benefit show for the Actors Fund on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Julia Miles Theatre, 424 W. 55th St., Manhattan. Tickets are $25 and can be reserved by e-mailing tickets@theatricalgems.org.
