Wagner College president elected chair of NYS Higher Education Services Corp. Board of Trustees
Richard Guarasci, president of Wagner College on Staten Island, was recently elected chair of the board of trustees of the New York State Higher Education Services Corp. (HESC), the state agency that helps people pay for college.
Trustees receive no compensation for their service on the HESC board.

Television news anchor Rosanna Scotto will be the guest speaker at the third annual Wagner College DaVinci Society awards dinner.
Proceeds from the event, scheduled for Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. in the Hilton Garden Inn, Bloomfield, will fund the DaVinci Society's "Adopt-a-Scholar" scholarship.

Iranian Scholar, Dr. Mahmoud Sadri, will be the inaugural speaker of Wagner's Faith & Life Lecture Series which will take place next Wednesday, September 20 at 7:15pm in Spiro 4. The Faith and Life Series is sponsored by the Qualben Fund and its key goal is to foster inter-religious understanding and dialogue.

Mahmoud Sadri is a full professor of sociology at the Federation of North Texas Area Universities that includes Texas Woman's University, University of North Texas, and A&M University, Commerce. He is stationed at Texas Woman's University. His major interests include Sociology of Religion, Sociology of Culture, and Theoretical Sociology. More specifically, he is interested and involved in "interfaith dialogue" and "Islamic reform".

Natalie Johnson, director of corporate and foundation relations, will be featured on a billboard in Times Square on Monday, September 18 at 11:30 a.m. The billboard located at Broadway and West 51st will be revealed during the filming of her episode for Cover Shot, a new reality tv show on The Learning Channel.
Natalie is the 15th woman to spend 2 days as a super model learning from super model Frederique Van der Wahl and fashion photographer, Richard Dean. Natalie got a behind the scenes look at the processes of developing a cover shot and for developing a tv show.
Her show will air in October which will coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness month. Natalie was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in 2004 and completed all treatments in September 2005. Come to the reveal and help her celebrate a year without cancer treatments!
