WAGNER GRADUATE OF BROADWAY AND DAYTIME TV FAME, KATHY BRIER, TO PERFORM AT WAGNER’S HOMECOMING
In conjunction with Wagner’s Homecoming festivities, Broadway and daytime TV star Kathy Brier, will be returning to her native Staten Island to perform selections from her debut album, Heartbreaker, in her first major performance on Saturday, September 9, 11:30am at Wagner College, 1 Campus Road. The performance which is free and open to the public, will be held on an outdoor stage adjacent to the alumni tent which is set back on the west side of Howard Avenue. A photograph and autograph session will follow the performance.

Kathy Brier created the role of “One Life to Live's” Marcie Walsh in October 2002. Originally slated for a recurring role, she was soon put on contract, in December 2002. In 2004, she received her first Daytime Emmy nomination in the Supporting Actress category. “One Life to Live” marks her first major television role.
From August 12, 2003 - May 2, 2004, Kathy played the role of Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway production of “Hairspray.” While doing Hairspray, she received the “Phenomenal Woman” award given out by 98.7 KISS FM's Morning Wake Up Club. After leaving Hairspray, Kathy went on to do her first major voice-over role as Babalulu, the clown on Jo Jo's Circus, for the Disney Playhouse Channel.
Kathy was born and raised on Staten Island, NY. She studied theatre and business at Wagner College, where she received a BS in Arts Administration. She recently received The Wagner Alumni Fellows Award in Theatre from The National Alumni Association.
Kathy currently resides in Manhattan.
