Lecture focuses on women in politics, Sept. 18

What's at stake for women in the 2008 elections? Find out when Lori Marso speaks on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 2:45 p.m. in Spiro 4. Marso will speak from a feminist perspective on change, freedom and choice. Refreshments will be served.
The first five people to arrive for Marso’s lecture will receive a free copy of “W Stands for Women.” Marso co-edited “W Stands for Women: How the George W. Bush Presidency Shaped a New Politics of Gender,” published last year by the Duke University Press.
Lori Marso is a professor of political science at Union College in Schenectady, where she is also the director of women’s and gender studies.
This lecture is sponsored by Project Pericles, the Department of Government & Politics, and the Gender Studies Program.
