STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., AUG. 17, 2010 — For the second year in a row, Wagner College made the #1 spot in the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges ranking of “Up-and-Comers” among Northern Regional Universities.
And, for the seventh year running, Wagner appeared among the Top 25 Northern Regional Universities, overall, on the annual Best Colleges list, which was released today. Wagner finished in a four-way tie for #25.
“Up-and-Comers” are those schools identified in a nationwide survey of college and university presidents, provosts, admissions deans and chief financial officers as having “recently made the most promising and innovative changes in the areas of academics, faculty, student life, campus or facilities.”
Wagner has made the “Up-and-Comers” list every year since it was created in 2008, when it appeared as #2 in the region.
Wagner’s nationally recognized ‘Programs to Look For’
Wagner College also achieved distinction on four national lists of “Programs to Look For,” each of them highlighting a key component of the college’s signature curriculum, the Wagner Plan for the Practical Liberal Arts.
