Four of New York City’s best-known etchers — including Wagner College art professor Bill Murphy and adjunct art professor Steven E. Walker — will be exhibiting their latest work in a group show entitled, simply, “Four Etchers.”
Veteran intaglio artists Murphy, Walker, Bruce Waldman and Stephen A. Fredericks will present upwards of 50 new plates in an array of styles and subject matter. The unifying theme of the exhibit will be contemporary realism.
The exhibition is scheduled for Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25 at the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South (East 20th Street), Manhattan. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A reception is scheduled for the last day of the show, Friday, March 25, from 7 to 9 p.m.
The National Arts Club is housed in the Tilden Mansion. Built in the 1840s, it is both a New York City Landmark and a National Historic Landmark.
