            Wagner College’s Habitat for Humanity chapter has compiled a half-hour DVD with still photos and video footage showing what they’ve done since their founding in 2005. Included are images from:

• Habitat’s “BYOB” (Bring Your Own Box) events in 2005 and 2006, where students slept in refrigerator boxes on the Sutter Oval to raise awareness of the issues surrounding homelessness (last year’s New York 1 story is included on the DVD);

• Habitat’s two formal-dress fund-raisers in the Wagner Union (100 people attended in 2005; the next year, 225 attended); and

• Habitat’s “builds” in Manhattan, Louisiana, Miami, New Jersey and El Salvador.

            The goal of Habitat for Humanity is the elimination of poverty housing worldwide, and Wagner’s campus chapter has been cited as the most active by far in the metropolitan New York City area.
