On Sunday, Oct. 14, a student team from Wagner College will participate for the fifth consecutive year in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual “Walk for the Cure” at the College of Staten Island. The team will be led by education students from Wagner College’s Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development chapter and Kappa Delta Pi, the national education honor society. Their faculty advisor is Jennifer Lauria.
There are two ways you can help their effort: Join the Wagner team, or contribute money in their name to the “Walk for the Cure.”
Where do you start?
(1) On the Internet, visit walk.jdrf.org.
(2) Under “Support a Walker,” key in the name of Jennifer Lauria for the Wagner team in the state of New York. When you click “Find Walker,” the screen will take you to …
(3) “Walker Search Results,” where you will click on Lauren’s name.
(4) On the next screen that comes up, you can choose between two options: “Donate to This Walker,” or “Join This Team.”
(5) The screens to which these options direct you will ask you to fill out a form with the data they need about you.
