Jake Browne is Wagner's new alumni director

Jake BrowneEffective June 2, Jacob Browne will be Wagner College’s new alumni director. He takes the place of Gail Kelley ’97, who left the college this spring to start a new business.

Jake Browne ’05 M’08 has been at Wagner College since August 2001, when he arrived on campus as a first-year student hailing from Logan Township, New Jersey.During his student tenure at Wagner, he served as a resident assistant, a student ambassador for the Office of Admissions, and a student caller for the Wagner College Annual Fund.He graduated in May 2005 with a bachelor of arts degree in history with a French minor.

Immediately after commencement, Jake joined the Office of Admissions as assistant director of admissions; he later became associate director.He was responsible for recruiting new Wagner College students from areas such as Long Island, Westchester County, Colorado, Texas and California.He also coordinated the Student Ambassador program, which amassed 60 student volunteers.

Jake will receive his MBA from Wagner College in August.

“Jake has proven himself a capable member of the admissions office, successfully bringing in significant numbers of new students and recruiting, training and managing volunteers,” said Myra Garcia, vice president for institutional advancement. “As a faithful alumnus, he continues to serve as a class agent. He will bring professionalism, a strategic focus, enthusiasm and maturity to his new role as director of alumni relations.”
