President Richard Guarasci urged those assembled to join him in supporting Wagner in order to take it to the next level of achievement.
“Putting Wagner First: The Campaign for Wagner College” will provide the financial resources to make major investments in students, through increased scholarships and tuition assistance; in faculty, through the establishment of distinguished chairs and funding for research, scholarship, and professional development; and in the college itself, through upgrades to facilities and campus infrastructure. New book published on Wagner College historyA new collection of essays, “Wagner College: Four Histories,” has just been published by Wagner College. The book is a collection of both old and new material. A set of six studies on “Recruitment and Retention of Entry-Level Staff in Housing and Residence Life” was recently published by the Association for College and University Housing Officers-International. Wagner Mourns Passing of Jerome BergWagner College lost a dear friend on July 21, with the passing of Jerome Berg. A longstanding member of the Staten Island and greater New York communities, Berg was a frequent participant in the life of Wagner College as a member of its Chai and DaVinci Societies, and as a benefactor of the school’s Hugh L. Carey Center for Government Reform. Trustee Frank Powers, 67, dies Sunday, June 22Powers was elected in 2006 to a 4-year term on the Wagner College Board of Trustees. Specially honored at this year’s commencement program was Margaret-Anne Milne, great-great-granddaughter of Wagner College’s founding benefactor John George Wagner Jr. Milne who was awarded, on behalf of her family, a thanksgiving commendation from the college. |
