THE COLLEGE — A competitive, four-year private college founded in 1883. The college’s nationally recognized academic program, the Wagner Plan for the Practical Liberal Arts, is enhanced by a rich array of internship and other professional and cultural opportunities readily available in New York City.
LOCATION — Atop Grymes Hill in New York City’s borough of Staten Island, a neighborhood of historic estates and mansions. The campus combines the former estates of Sir Edward Cunard, Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt and General William Greene Ward. Though Manhattan is just across the harbor, Wagner's campus provides a setting that feels far away from the city.

ENROLLMENT — 1,856 undergraduates, 376 graduate students. Our students represent 43 states and 19 countries. The most enrolled undergraduate majors at Wagner are biological sciences, business, psychology, sociology, and theatre. 10–15% of our students enter the teaching profession. 94% of our students receive financial aid. For adult learners and children ages 6 to 17, Wagner External Programs provide on-campus and online courses in professional development, personal enrichment, the arts, the sciences, and more.
