Wagner College’s Office for Institutional Advancement, headquartered in Reynolds House, has won an Educational Fundraising Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Wagner is one of only five institutions in its category given this annual award by CASE, the top international organization of higher education professionals in fundraising, marketing, alumni relations and related activities.
The award for Overall Improvement in the Private Comprehensive Institutions category was based on CASE’s analysis of fundraising results for fiscal years 2009, 2010 and 2011.
- Giving to Wagner College nearly tripled during this period, going from more than $2.9 million in 2009 to more than $10.9 million in 2011.
- The percentage of alumni who contributed to the college rose from 9.5% in 2009 to 10.7% in 2011.
This is the first CASE fundraising award ever won by Wagner College. The college has twice won CASE awards in other fields of activity: in 2005 for a fundraising publication, and this year for a photograph published in Wagner Magazine.
According to CASE, 429 colleges and universities were considered this year for fundraising awards. Only 71 awards were given, 41 for Overall Performance and 30 for Overall Improvement.
