A Major Offense will be any offense committed by a student for which any of the following sanctions may be imposed: Residence Hall Suspension, Suspension from the Institution or Expulsion and any other sanction described under both Level I and Level II Offense Procedures. For some possible Residence Hall suspension cases the Associate Dean of Students for Residence Life will decide and the appeal process will go to the Dean of the College (see Student Handbook to cover "Disciplinary Procedures"). Example of violations: drug possession arrests, weapons possession arrests, liquor law violation arrests, motor vehicle theft, burglary, aggravated assault, robbery arrest, sexual misconduct (to include sexual assault).
