Name: Morgan McLean
Major: International Affairs
Minor: French
Honors: Graduated cum laude in 2004, Presidential
and Guild Scholar, ODK member
Internship: The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art
Most interesting academic experience: My semester
abroad at the American University of Paris was phenomenal.
In the spirit of Experiential Learning, Wagner organized a
"City as Text" class for us (the 6 Wagner students on the
exchange) with 2 professors at AUP. There was so much to
explore and learn in Paris - museums, architecture, history,
modern buildings, and of course the rest of
Europe was easy to access!
After Wagner: Right after gradutation I started my full
time job with Amnesty International USA in Washington, DC.
About Wagner: I was involved in Student Government,
serving in many different positions throughout my 4 years;
as a Senior I was elected President of SGA. I was also a
Resident Assistant for 3 years, a Student Ambassador
for Admissions, a Writing Intensive Tutor, and involved
with several student clubs on campus including Wagner's
chapter of Amnesty International.

Wagner College has developed a curriculum that unites deep learning and practical application. The Wagner Plan incorporates our longstanding commitment to the liberal arts, experiential learning and interdisciplinary education with our geographical location and enduring bond with New York City.
Beginning in their very first semester at Wagner, students are not only studying issues, learning critical-thinking, writing and problem-solving skills, they are also seeing and putting into practice what they are learning. This "practical" side of liberal education is perhaps best defined in Wagner's curriculum because of the specific links created by our Learning Communities and Reflective Tutorials and, as importantly, the investment faculty make in connecting students with the world outside the classroom.
Under The Wagner Plan, students complete a liberal arts core program and a major, totaling 36 units/courses. As part of these requirements, students complete three Learning Communities (LC's)-one in the first year, one during the intermediate years, and one in the senior year in the major.
