Wagner College Assistant Professor, Computer Science The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Wagner College seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor position. Requirements are a Ph.D. or ABD in Computer Science/Information Systems (or a closely related field) and a commitment to excellence in teaching. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding teaching abilities, good communication skills and evidence of scholarly activity. Preference will be given to applicants with a multidisciplinary background, particularly those with experience in Computer Graphics, Database Programming, Telecommunications and Networking, or Electronic Commerce. In addition to teaching in the departmental major/minor, the college needs a colleague prepared to teach Computer Science in a concentrated multidisciplinary undergraduate general educational program. Participation in designing and implementing faculty and curriculum development workshops and introducing up-to-date computer literacy across the disciplines is expected. Ability and willingness to contribute to additional dimensions of the college's acdemic program, such as general education or international education are desirable. Located in Staten Island and overlooking the Manhattan skyline, Wagner College is a private, non-sectarian 80% residential college of 1800 traditional aged undergraduates and 300 graduate students in selected professional programs.
