Mechanisms
of selective cell vulnerability and neuronal loss in neurodegenerative
diseases. Role of calcium-binding proteins in modulation of neuronal calcium
homeostasis. Use of cell lines and animal models to elucidate the combined
involvement of autoimmune factors and calcium homeostasis modulators in
the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases.
